2023 CIEMSD NREMT Refresher

The Central Iowa EMS Directors Association is hosting an NREMT refresher course.  The refresher course is open to all  EMS providers. You can view the flyer by clicking here.

The National Registry has changed its format. Recertification is based on the National Continued Competency Project (NCCP) requirements plus additional hours set by local and individual preferences. The amount of continuing education hours that meet NCCP requirements are as follows:

• EMT – 20 hours NCCP content
• AEMT – 25 hours NCCP content
• Paramedic – 30 hours NCCP content

The Central Iowa EMS Directors Association will be offering a refresher curriculum that will cover the NCCP requirements for EMT and AEMT.

• Registration closes on December 30, 2022 or sooner if maximum registration occurs.
• Pay pal accepted for payment at time of registration. Direct billing is available for services only, tuition must be paid in full by the start of the refresher program.
• Registration starts at 7:30am each day.
• Parking is available in the visitor ramp on the west end of the hospital complex. Take the elevator to the Ground Level.
• Portions of the program shall include both a basic and advanced track.
• Additional information on # of CEH’s and Nursing CEU’s will be provided and posted to the CIEMSD website when confirmed.
• Lunch and refreshments for breaks shall be provided each day.
• Must attend full day to receive nursing credit, no partial credit will be provided.
• Cancellation due to weather will be notified through the CIEMSD website and through local TV outlets.
