Environmental justice and equity are often used interchangeably. In this webinar, we will explain the difference and how communities can pursue both. We will be joined by Marcia Caton Campbell, the executive director of Rooted, which connects residents to food, land, and opportunities for equitable and sustainable communities. Campbell will share policies and strategies that support environmental justice and equity. Sarah Karlson, Rooted’s farm and education manager, will share examples of their work creating opportunities for better health and economic stability in communities with a history of racial injustice. The webinar will provide participants with practical strategies to advance environmental equity in their communities.

County Health Rankings & Roadmaps will host a one-hour interactive virtual discussion at 4pm ET, immediately following the webinar. We encourage you to participate in an engaging dialogue with peers across the country to share your experiences with equity. Mark your calendars and plan to stay as long as you're able.
