Audience: Service Area 5 Coalition Members/Partners, and Planning Stakeholders. 

Purpose:  Provide an opportunity to review the region’s vulnerable population’s data for Service Area 5, by each county.  Utilize data for planning purposes at the local and regional level.

When:  Oct 19, 2022 10:00 AM Central Time (US and Canada) (1.5 Hr)

Objectives:

  1. Acquire and submit emPOWER and SVI data for all service area membership counties. Due 1/30/2023 and 6/30/2023.
  2. Understand different terminology: Access FN, Vulnerable Populations; Disability: High Risk Populations
  3. Share emPOWER and SVI data with service area members for utilization in identifying special at‐risk populations to develop strategies and fill gaps related to at‐risk populations in the service area.
  4. Review data during work session to discuss these implications on emergency preparedness planning for high risk populations.
  5. Review materials at local emergency planning meetings to assist with vulnerable populations planning.
